How do I submit an abstract?

Go to https://www.slca2026.com/submission, create or log in to a ConfTool account, and submit an abstract (max. 500 words) before October 15, 2025.

What is the difference between a “Participant” and a “Contributor”?

Accepted Answer

Contributor: A user who submits an abstract or paper for presentation (oral or poster). This role includes authors, co-authors, and presenting authors. You must create an account and select the option to “Submit Contribution.” Must also register as a participant.

Participant: A user who registers to attend the conference (either as a presenter or non-presenter). This includes attendees who join the sessions, networking events, or workshops without submitting any abstract.

Important Notes:
Every Contributor must also register as a Participant to attend the conference. Submission does not automatically register you as an attendee.
If you are only attending and not submitting, you may register as a Participant only.

Visa requirements for Indonesia depend on your nationality. For example, citizens of ASEAN countries — including Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, and Timor-Leste — are eligible for visa-free entry for up to 30 days.

For other nationalities, the required visa type depends on your role at the Social LCA 2026 conference. Which Visa Type Should I Choose?
Visa B1 (Tourism & Business): Select this if you are attending as a participant/attendee only. This is for those who will not be presenting, speaking, or leading any sessions.
Visa C10 (Professional/Employment): Select this if you are a presenter or speaker. Please note that as the event organizer, we will be your guarantor for the visa application. You can check eligibility and apply directly through the official Indonesian Immigration website at evisa.imigrasi.go.id. When applying through the portal:
Select "Professional or Employment" as your main purpose (for C10) or "Business" (for B1).
Next, select "Invited Event Participants" as your sub-purpose.

Yes. Presenters have access to all sessions across all conference days and may choose freely which sessions to attend. For one-day pass holders, you are free to join any sessions scheduled on the day of your ticket.
